The system is mainly composed of solar panel, light source, controller and battery. In daytime, when there is sunshine, the solar panel can convert the solar energy to electric power and store it in the battery. At night or rainy or cloudy condition, the controller can judge the brightness of daylight and automatically switch the light on. And the battery shall supply the power for lighting.
Smart city solar street lighting can make our city lighting more intelligent and esaily to control .Every lighting situation we can get feedback from lot platform and to deal with it qualickly .In order to get a more bighter city , we using smart solar street lighting for our projects .
And how to achieve smart city ? This prototype works on Master-slave configuration, where each street light acts as slave, and LoRa Gateway acts as the master. As Lora gateway has longer range compared to other communication services like wifi, Bluetooth, NFC etc.. Though GSM has the longer range it includes subscription charges which are not there is LoRa (Free of charge)and also LoRa consumes very less amount of power during operation. Master is connected to the internet so that user can remotely monitor street lights.So Large number of street lights can be connected and controlled from the Master gateway.
